Mental Health in UK Policing Lifting the Lid with Lobby Thornton - EP 25
Thursday May 27, 2021
Thursday May 27, 2021
Meet our GuestSteve (widely known as ‘Lobby’ - a proud Lancastrian) Thornton, is a retired Metropolitan Police Officer, having completed 30+ years, and has been working as a Civilian Senior Firearms Instructor for the last 5 years.Recent studies have shown that 1 in 4 Police Officers/Staff/Volunteers will experience mental illness and 1 in 5 will suffer from PTSD or Complex PTSD.
Steve like myself is on a mission to not just bring more awareness around this important issue but to ensure the frontline get the support they deserve.Steve says:“My passion is the wellbeing of my colleagues; serving and retired as well as the families behind them who are often overlooked when it comes to welfare support.”Starting as a Cadet in 1982, Lobby joined the job in 1983 and began working in busy Inner London before transferring to SO19, the Met’s Firearms Unit in 1995. He then worked as an Operational Firearms Officer and is a National Police Firearms Instructor.
Lobby is an experienced Post Incident Support Program Selected Instructor, a Welfare Coach for the Police Firearms Officers Association, an Ambassador for Police Care UK, a TRiM Manager, and a Founder member of the National Prevention of Police Suicides Group. Lobby is a very proactive and forthright Wellbeing Champion, working tirelessly on behalf of colleagues within the Met and elsewhere.Lobby like myself is keen to give the frontline the best care possible.
Lobby set up Trojan Wellbeing in 2020 as a result of ongoing work supporting both colleagues and their families experiencing difficulties. It is widely recognised that mental health support is not as helpful as it could be from many senior managers, and there is an ever-growing need for Mental Health First Aid training to recognise the symptoms; as well as learning about how to signpost those seeking help.
Trojan Wellbeing aims to provide MHFA trained officers throughout the forces, who will learn to proactively spot early warning signs and have the confidence to start a conversation with those who appear to be struggling. This in turn will create a wide-reaching peer support network and proactively supply support swiftly and accurately.
Courses availableTRiM - Trauma Management’ dealing with colleagues following a traumatic incident.
Mental Health Fitness Screening - Self Awareness is key to a healthy life.

A Mum who found wisdom through spiritual guidance.
Bobbies passion is to align humanity goes without doubt and as more and more people become awakened Bobbie explains how our conscious left brain has been keeping us trapped for centuries and how many are now awakening their right brain and bringing new realities into their life. This one is not for the faint hearted as Bobbie explains our potential to ignite our natural abilities, that of the intuition and imagination, giving us new abilities which she calls the 3T's Telepathy, Telekinesis, Teleportation, and much more. Giving humanity a whole new perspective into our reality, one where we are all responsible for our own creations. She talks about her mission, connecting us back with Earth or Ghia. She explains how her magic and her connection with other beings of higher vibrations is teaching others how to take back their power, go within to create a world we all LOVE and are proud of.Bobbie says:
"I hold many codes through memories and feelings not only of past lives but also of stories shown to me of realities beyond this limited programming by benevolent beings. I have always seen (with my eyes) into the unseen and other realities as this gift was passed down through my DNA from my parents, especially my Mothers side as she also had the same gift.
To fully awaken myself and to connect to source and the many dimensions that hold answers to our questions, I had to do the inner work, just like everyone else, clearing all programming that I was not enough. Through this clearing, I've learned a lot and can now help many others find themselves back to the amazing empowered humans we all are and to connect back into remembering we are all ONE." Bobbie Richardson
As a seer and channeler, Bobbie has been visited and taken to other dimensional realities. Her drive has taken her deep down the rabbit hole to finding out what humanity can become, having had many messages given to her. She talks about one of the most amazing events she has had in this reality. When she met a Cherokee Elder named Grandmother Pa'Ris'Ha from Ohio who took her hand in 2006 and talked to her telepathically for over an hour, this directed her attention into asking - 'What is humanities potential?'
Her story has not only healed her own issues, but it has challenged herself to look at herself honestly, but she now, with the wisdom handed to her by other dimensional beings. is helping others who are ready to step out of the matrix to reach their own potential and reality.
We are all here to help humanity wake up to their potential and we invite you to join us as we explore this amazing journey.

An interview with Rachel Spencer about her BeeU Anti-Bullying Campaign - Shining the light on the link between bullying and mental health
After spending years on the big screen, Manchester actress and singer, Rachel Spencer, is stepping out of the spotlight to shine a light on a harrowing issue faced by young people and adults across the UK.
Rachel tells us about her BeeU anti-bullying campaign, launched to help minimise bullying, either in school, at home, or in the workplace. As a victim of bullying herself and knowing first hand the impact that had on her own mental health, we talk about the pressures young people and adults have, especially in the cut throat world of entertainment and why she is so passionate for people to be who they are.
Rachel has been in the performing profession since the age of 9 starting in Oliver Twist at the Manchester Opera House, which led to large television roles in such programs as Coronation Street, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and a 96 episode contract with the BBC in ‘Doctors’. Rachel switched between musical theatre and television and made plenty of contacts on the way.

About Deborah Forsythe
Aesthetics and Early Career
Having qualified specialising in Accident and Emergency medicine she was at the forefront of acute trauma at The Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, eventually leading the medical team.
In the early 1980's, she moved to London with my family and continued to use her trauma experience in St Thomas' and Guys' Hospital emergency units.
Her interest in medical aesthetics stemmed from observing the distress caused by facial trauma during her time working in Belfast and London.
In the 1990s she had the privilege of working with several of the country's leading plastic surgeons.
Her field of expertise, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, age management and menopause, has been my passion for over 30 years.
She has been a clinical consultant for Q-Med, a leading biotechnology company, and Allergan, a leading pharmaceutical company, a founding member of the education team of the First Master's Degree in Medical Aesthetics at the University of Central Lancashire.
As a lecturer, trainer and expert in medical aesthetics and age management, she has maintained a pan-European portfolio for 20 years.
Menopause Expertise and Consultancy
Deb is a graduate of the Marion Gluck Academy, trained in hormone balancing therapy using Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and body identical therapy.
Her interest in Menopause and related hormonal disturbances came from my own experience.
Despite knowing and understanding the process, when it happened to her it was chaos. She promised herself she would find the pathways to help other women have the opportunity to change their own experience and take control of their menopause in a productive way. Through her work, her clients regain their confidence and make informed decisions about their menopause transition.
Deb provides women with solutions, treatments and support to sleep well, feel well, be strong and healthy, to live their best lives and be their best selves - all whilst navigating the challenges of ageing, and dealing with the physical and mental issues that arise from their menopause.
She specialises in treating patients with a combination program of Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy and functional nutrition plans. Each program is planned for the specific individual needs of each of my patients.
Her methods have been tried, tested and shared with clients to achieve results.

Pain is inevitable, Suffering is a Choice - EP20 with Sara Goode
Friday Aug 21, 2020
Friday Aug 21, 2020
Having Crohn's Disease and Ankylosing Spondylitis, meant Sara struggled with stress and chronic pain most of my life.
It ended her career at BofA (BAML) and HSBC Asset Management, and the business that she started with her partner started when we left the city and moved back to North Wales in 2004.
She speaks about how in 2015, in Critical Care on full life support for 4 weeks, then in hospital for a further 4 months, she left hospital in a worse physical and mental condition than ever before.
So why is she so grateful for that event?!
Because, it meant she was forced to change my life, find new, better ways of dealing with worry and pain.
It was either give up, or get to work finding a solution, and with a 6 year old daughter, giving up was never going to be an option.
Inspiring lady, inspiring coach and I hope this podcast will inspire you to reach out and start your own journey of discovery.

Did I Experience God - EP19
Friday Aug 07, 2020
Friday Aug 07, 2020
God, Universe can you hear it?
Nothing is impossible but sometimes you ask!!!
Where did that come from?
This podcast is well, in fact I can't describe it.As a therapist I am always wanting to learn, knowing that we hold the answers and my next biggest challenge was to transform my body.
Rapid Transformational Therapy is a great tool for this, so I have been working with the amazing Lauren Daniel Coach and RTT Therapist, colleague and friend. This journey has been strange but our session on 6th August 2020 was far from what we expected. In this podcast I will reveal the experience and let you decide what you think it means.I am simply relaying what happened and what my interpretation is or in fact isn't.Stay with me and enjoy the ride, you may need a lie down after.Profound and thought provoking I try to explain to Tracy what happened and answer the the question - Did I Experience God?Often the answers we are looking for are not what we expect.

Let's Connect
Through my own transformation journey I have had the amazing opportunity to really understand the power of the mind
In this podcast I want to help you and connect you to possibility. To look at your purpose on this amazing planet as being unique.
You have everything you need, but sometimes we need to shine a light on the truth about how powerful we really are.
